If you’re searching for direction, you’re already moving.
I want to start with you, not me. If you’ve landed here, something brought you — maybe restlessness, maybe a quiet feeling that you’re capable of more than your current life shows. I know that feeling well. It’s exactly where my story begins.
My story
I was nineteen, sitting alone in my room in Morocco with a worn Arabic poetry collection open in my lap. It was late. The house was quiet. I was reading a verse I’d read a dozen times before — and something about that particular night, that particular silence, made it land differently. I remember thinking: someone wrote this hundreds of years ago, and it is speaking directly to me, right now. That felt like a kind of miracle.
I didn’t think “I want to be a writer.” I thought — I want to do that. I want to write something that reaches someone I’ll never meet, in a moment I can’t predict.
I studied Arabic Literature. My professor once told us, almost offhandedly, that a word written with real intention outlives the person who wrote it. I wrote it down. I still believe it.
“A word written with real intention outlives the person who wrote it.”
After I graduated, the practical questions came fast. Arabic literature, people implied, was beautiful but not useful. I didn’t argue. I just started writing — in English this time, because I wanted to reach further. I taught myself, article by article, how to carry the depth I’d learned in one language into another.
That’s still what I do. I write about self-improvement — not as a motivational exercise, but as something I’ve lived. Growth, direction, rebuilding your 9ot hinking — these aren’t abstract ideas to me. They’re the actual shape of my life.
What I write about :
– Personal growth for people who want depth, not slogans.
– The invisible habits that shape our lives long before results appear.
– Exploring what it means to move forward without having everything figured out.
– Sharing ideas from Arabic literature and thought that deserve a wider voice.
You’re in the right place if :
– You’re tired of shallow content that sounds good but changes nothing
– You want to think more clearly about who you’re becoming
– You believe a single idea, read at the right moment, can genuinely shift something
When I’m not writing, I’m usually reading slowly, walking outdoors, or cooking while listening to old interviews and conversations.
I’m a Moroccan writer who believes deeply that the people who read carefully and think slowly are the ones who change most. This space is for them. If that’s you — welcome.
This space was built for the person who reads a sentence twice because it meant something. If that’s you, you’ll probably feel at home here.
